Precision 185
This lightning-fast daysailer provides pure fun as a Portsmouth-class racer with a crew of 2, 3 or 4. Slightly modified, the P185 serves as our training vessel and is the perfect Puget Sound daysailer / crusier for up to 5 people. Strong and swift, this craft launches in less than a foot of water.
The P185 is a past winner of Boat of the Year recognition (Sailing World, 2003 & Sail, 2004).
Precision 23
A true modern classic, naval architect Jim Taylor's inspiration may be the largest truly trailerable sloop afloat. We consider it an ideal craft for weeklong exploring or a simple day-sail for crews up to six people. Rated as a "sailor's boat," this compact racer/cruiser sails where others must motor yet can escape from a gale in the shallowest of coves. The proven keel-centerboard design combines with modern racing lines and rig to provide a rare combination of speed and stability with trailerability.
Our Precision 23 is available for demonstrations, charters as well as skippered orientation to sailing and eco-tour programs. With more than 500 sister craft on the water, this popular design retains its year-to-year value. Now, it provides even more in the way of crew comfort and easier sail handling with smart design upgrades.
New Precision BoatWorks models can be ordered directly from Avalon Sailing with fleet pricing and shipping options.
Precision 21 & Precision 15
Also available from Avalon are the Precision 21, a sleek, downsized version of the P23, and the Precision 15, a "perfect dinghy" candidate. Precision's big dinghy is considered a smaller, friendlier version of the Precision 185 that is ideal for community sailing programs and sailors who are still wet behind the ears.
All boats sold by from Avalon Sailing come with custom commissioning options, including Honda, Suzuki and E-Pod power.
